| THE GIFT FROM SOUTH DAKOTA AND MAYBE, JUST MAYBE THE BUSH SUPREME COURT | ||
By RW Spisak Jr. A young woman, gets up from the table looks around, walks quickly away from her contact. She looks around to see if anyone is following her and walks nervously alone down the dark alley. A door opens and a head pokes out tentativly, checks the alley behind her, then a hand silently beckons her in. No physician can help her, no legal medical care is available to this young woman. She can't afford to travel thousands of miles to a more civilized country for a legal medical procedure. Her only option, is the illegal underground practitioner. Were things different, she could go to a hospital or a clinic. She could get medical care from a practicing physician, obtain birth control information and care. Should she require an abortion, a qualified physician in a clinical facility could have provided appropriate medical care. This would insure, that at the right time, under the proper conditions, she might later have a healthy successful maternity experience and bring a beloved young life into a welcoming family. Yet, there are those, working day and night, to prevent her from obtaining the care she needs. They pretend to ignore thousands of years of human experience and pretend the immature will stop having sex, and that every conception will be welcomed and that any other child will be given up for adoption. This wishful thinking will claim more lives and permanently damage more young women and families, than legal abortion has ever claimed. Those who would remove the legal option of abortion, will drive young women and those that love them, back to ancient folk poisons, and exercises in self abuse and worse. Deliver them into the back rooms, and butcher shops that took the lives of women through the long bloody past. often With crippling permanent damage. Oh, and also societies well intentioned prosecutions. Drink this... they are saying, we bring you nausea, vomiting and worse. They are saying even now to young women, spread your young legs while I will place this metal object... This is what they wish for young women of today and tomorrow. This is the gift, of these pseudo moralists who will bring more deaths and sickness to poison thousands more lives than they might ever cure. Causing more deaths than they might ever prevent. I understand they can detect witchcraft too. |
